***CLOSED***
I know you all must think I'm crazy, like I don't already have enough on my plate? Why did I ever decide to make detergent? So instead of being a review of sorts, this is going to be more informational with a give away at the end =o)
If you are looking for a real life user that isn't biased teehee, Coping With Frugality did a review.
I started cloth diapering in August, I was trying to save my family money. It had nothing to do with being green, purple, orange or red. It all had to do with saving the GREEN. Talk about overwhelming, seriously...I started seeing words like build up, repelling, too much soap, stinkies, prefold, all in one, all in two, pocket, snappi...it all swirled around in my head like a mass of jumbled up mess. I started out with a selection of different diapers that were loaned to me by my friend. That made it very easy for me to love cloth diapering. I didn't have to fork out loads of cash to find out I HATED it. My biggest problem is the laundry. I wasn't sure that I knew exactly how to deal with the down and dirty...
I had heard rave things about several different detergents. I started trying them out. I found a couple that I thought were decent, one that left a bleeding bottom, scars and infection, and finally found one that I LOVED. The problem with the one that I LOVED I couldn't get when I needed it. There were serious delays from the time of ordering to the time of order fulfillment and delivery. We all know when things need washing they need washing. With the encouragement of Roxanne of Snuggli BeBe, I started with a basic detergent recipie that you can find online, and I started playing on the what if...what if a little more of this and a little less of that etc until I found a wonderful formula. One that worked well, didn't irritate and made things Pue Jolie. I tested them all on my mom first =o) She could tell me right away if there was any funky skin things going on. And better yet, my Mom is on so many medications that can make for some major stinkies what better way to know if it really got the stinkies out?
Now mind you I had one that I LOVED and was sure it did the job well. I wanted to be just as good as that and I knew I'd have something. When I settled on my final and current formula the deal sealer was when I washed my Mom's cloth, her wet bag and everything and it came out smelling fresh. I had previously been dealing with a wet bag that kinda just hung on to the stinks. I thought it was just going to be a common factor and one I'd just deal with. I did a long soak and then a regular wash on her cloth, and whoa...shocker of shocks. The wet bag nylon that had been previously holding on to stinks, was almost nearly clean and fresh smelling. All the pre-folds were fresh, I just did another long soak on the wet bag and it no longer holds on to stinks, It comes out clean every time. I continued to use it on my Mom's stuff, and added in Ansel's stuff. Everyone stayed sore bottom free so I sent out testers.
I sent testers out to all parts of the US. Testers went to AK, CA, WI, TN, GA, WA, TX, ID and many other places as Snuggli Bebe sent them out with her diaper orders. Everyone else experienced the same results. The best one is a user in CA was spending $50 a month on RLR adding it to wash just to get her diapers clean. She no longer needs the RLR saving her family $50 a month! In AK, diapers were washed after sitting for 10 days when an unexpected family emergency took her out of town leaving dirty diapers in the pail. They too came out clean and fresh. There are no surfactants and no harsh chemicals in our detergent! Safe for all your laundry needs. No surfactants mean no build up, no harsh chemicals means less chance of a reaction and safe bottoms.
I want everyone to have the same experience, so far that has been the case, Pue Jolie has taken off and I couldn't have asked for a better response regarding my hard work and research.
Pue Jolie means stinks pretty in french, My hubby and I have always said when something smells good it stinks pretty...and so my hope is everything always Pue Jolie.
